Feeling quite privileged, in 2022, I received a coveted invitation to join Marbella’s elite at the luxurious Nobu Hotel. Clad in my stunning Manolo Blahnik heels, I savored the delicious Lychee elderflower martinis while enjoying the beautiful crystal-clear pool. And, of course, I couldn’t resist indulging in Nobu’s signature Omakase menu, which was simply divine.

The sounds of flowing water from the fountains and the vibrant greenery, charming pottery, and wooden walkways create a picturesque blend of Oriental and Andalusian styles that will leave you mesmerized.
The concierge team, impeccably dressed in polished attire and sporting eternal golden tans, wasted no time escorting me to the luxurious lobby and reception area. The space was adorned with sleek, dark wood finishes and glossy interiors that exuded sophistication. The check-in process was swift and efficient, and before I knew it, I was handed a champagne flute to enjoy as I made my way to my suite. The staff generously top up my glass before embarking on the “arduous” journey to my luxurious sanctuary.
Wellness.
The resort’s in-house spas from various parts of the world have always offered a serene and relaxing experience. However, that all changes when spa enthusiasts enter the Six Senses realm of Nobu Marbella.
You can experience heavenly relaxation in a cozy enclave made of oak wood elements, stone structures, and cabana-like spaces next to a glistening blue-tiled pool, a Hammam, and a fragrant steam room, all part of the Six Senses realm at Nobu Marbella.

Its holistic menu features a range of rituals and massages that rely on natural ingredients, such as hand-picked mountain herbs and extra virgin olive oil, to provide a truly rejuvenating experience.
After savoring a warm ginger drink to begin my pre-beauty ritual, I immersed myself in the luxury of pearl treatments, starting with a gentle exfoliation to achieve baby-soft skin, followed by a luxurious cream enriched with lustrous pearl and shell extracts, applied all over my body.
The purpose of this body mask, which has a smooth and radiant appearance, is to rejuvenate and refresh skin cells. Additionally, it provides a luxurious and holistic atmosphere that engulfs one’s senses while offering calming and beautiful ocean views.

As luck would have it, I was blessed with a shimmering stroke of fortune as I was granted the privilege of calling the Celestial Nobu Suite my home for 48 hours.
Upon entering, I was greeted by suave chambers adorned in a modern ryokan-style fashion, accentuated with bespoke artworks by Andrew Martin, a state-of-the-art TV, and a soothing rain shower. The walk-in wardrobe was spacious enough to enchant even Sex and The City’s Carrie Bradshaw.
Through a set of polished glass sliding doors, a balcony terrace was adorned with new wooden furniture and backlit sofa seating overlooking a picturesque garden setting. The deck was surrounded by immaculate white decor as pure as freshly fallen snow.
As I admired the bubbling private jacuzzi, my craving for an ice-cold glass of champagne suddenly intensified. Just then, a bell rang, and a charming gentleman with a smile appeared with a silver bucket containing a magnum of Pol Roger and a delightful assortment of Nobu’s macaroons. I indulged in these treats before settling into a relaxing soak, preparing myself for an evening of luxurious indulgence and glamour.
Wining & Dining.
The resort’s high-fashion guests and food experts can expect a thriving culinary paradise.
Going on a Nobu vacation without experiencing the hottest table in town at their eponymous restaurant would be considered a crime. Here, guests can witness a fusion of traditional Japanese flavors with a captivating Peruvian flair.
The open-plan layout of the restaurant featured the customary polished wooden elements, while the striking red Sakura trees, backlit behind the cocktail bar, created the perfect photo opportunity. Guests could sip on signature cocktails like the Nobupolitan, a blend of junmai sake with cranberry shrub, or a Roku gin Negroni infused with Genmaicha tea and a hint of orange jam.
Bearing the title of top brass bestowed by Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and becoming part of his prestigious Nobu pedigree is like a culinary fairytale come true. Therefore, having the group’s first female executive chef, Chef Eleni Manousou, create a golden and crispy tuna tempura roll followed by a black cod miso with buttery flesh or a tender teriyaki-coated tenderloin is not only awe-inspiring but also a privilege.
The champagne breakfast buffet is a delightfully indulgent affair with a Japanese twist, featuring fluffy pancakes mixed with soba and delicately sour yuzu cream. Another standout dish is the unique take on classic eggs florentine, elevated with a salted umami relish made from miso.
Nobu Marbella presents an impressive collection of haute cuisine that aims to please even the most discerning and worldly palates, refusing to be outdone by the iconic fusion restaurant.
The vibrant beach club hotspot, Chiringuito, eagerly awaits your presence, offering ocean-fresh mussels in a velvety tomato, Sherry broth, and a succulent wagyu entrecôte that melts in your mouth, bursting with rich juices and smoky wood-fired flavors.
As the sun-drenched day fades into a picturesque sunset, the resort’s resident DJ shifts the tranquil atmosphere into a lively ambiance as you relax under the shade of straw umbrellas and new cabanas, lost in the mesmerizing view of the ocean waves, savoring a spiced pina colada infused with natural coconut and sweet-tangy pineapple flavors.
By the glimmering turquoise waters of the bay rests the picturesque Sea Grill, elegantly crafted by Andrew Martin. The elite is welcomed to dock their yachts and relish in a midday feast of zesty spiced prawns pil pil, followed by a delectable serving of tagliatelle enriched with black truffle shavings intertwined in a velvety cream sauce. To complement the meal, a refreshing glass of chilled golden Allende Blanco Rioja, redolent with delicate peach and citrus aromas, can be savored while soaking up the sun-kissed atmosphere.
La Plaza, proudly presented as the resort’s vibrant all-day and all-night hub sits at the center of Marbella’s dynamic supper club culture. Its mesmerizing open-air terrace features fire dancers and theatrical cocktails, while La Suite’s seductive and hypnotic atmosphere celebrates its Roman heritage with avant-garde flair. Here, the champagne-drenched glitterati let loose, surrendering themselves to the infectious EDM rhythms spun by the legendary Junior D’Acosta and Edu Reyes.

Additionally, the on-site tennis club offers energy-fueled padel programs that emphasize teamwork and physical satisfaction, with the added incentive of receiving a certificate and a gleaming trophy for participating.

Located on a raised whitewashed terrace, this jewel-blue lagoon offers a heated poolside setting where guests can enjoy fun activities. The pool area features comfortable milky-hued sun loungers, large parasols, and clean towels adorned with the iconic Nobu logo.
As I relaxed and listened to the chill-out playlists, my favorite lychee and elderflower martini arrived promptly, accompanied by a delicious serving of creamy miso-spiced guacamole and crispy golden nachos.
Leaving this beautiful resort without enjoying a fresh Nobu-etched coconut would be unfair. This refreshing exotic drink, with its chilled sweet, nutty aqua contents mixed with the creamy, mild flesh of the coconut, is the perfect way to hydrate before departing for my homeland.
